CO2 showing early signs of spreading in the UK

Fellow Researchers,

In simple terms, a MRT is a way for two or more people to pay attention apostolically. And, to notice and share with our MRT "community of practice" the stories that emerge. These stories may be large or small but something inside you says, "This is important".

Here's an example of one of these stories...

Chris Jefferies attends the House2House Conference last September. Chris becomes "infected" with the CO2 (church of two) virus. Chris returns to Cambridgeshire, UK and others begin to be "infected" with the same virus. Observation: The CO2 virus seems to be "sneezeable".

First Five. I've asked you to consider spending the first five minutes each day of your Internet time investing in our MRT Experiment. You should have about 4 minutes left. So, here's your assignment today. Go to Chris' blog and read what he's written about the spread of the CO2 virus. Then, come back here and share your observations. http://jesus.scilla.org.uk/2010/02/news-co2-is-spreading-like-virus.html

By the way, I'm delighted that Chris and his friend, Sean Diviney, have joined the MRT Experiment. That makes 12 teams in 12 cities/regions. The MRT concept is also showing signs of being "sneezeable". Hmmm... sounds like another story to pay attention to.

John

  1. I was listening to God with a wise friend last week. During his listening time he wrote something to this effect, "Relationship is the currency and context for many things . . . it is a spiritually explosive atmosphere."
I woke up with two things on my mind this morning: One, from another wise man who was listening with me, "conflict comes when we are ready to go deeper."
And two, another science lesson I had this week. I'm not a science guy, so maybe my explanation can be like a parable. I was told by a friend who loves to study quantum physics that the equation E=MC2 has some components I was not aware of. E equals energy, M equals mass, and C equals the speed of light. The speed of light squared represents an explosion of light. Energy and Mass are both forms of energy which are carried on light waves; the difference between the two energies is mass is bound energy. So, the combination of bound energy/light and an explosion of light equals unbound energy/light. My science friend postulates God is light, but my mind went to "God said, 'Let there be light,'"
Forgive me if this is not what we are posting about, I just found it interesting and in some weird way relateable in my spirit.

  2. 'Conflict comes when we are ready to go deeper' - that's the truth for sure! But the idea of relationship as a 'spiritually explosive atmosphere', wow Hobby, that set my heart on fire! Thanks for sharing that thought.

It makes sense, doesn't it? CO2 and MRT are both based on relationship - so no wonder they're spiritually explosive!

We were not born to be alone, that much is clear in Genesis and also in our own experience. We need relationship. We need relationships with Papa, with Yahshua, and with the Spirit; we also need relationships with one another.

Without the spiritual explosiveness of relationship there can be no sharing between us and no reaching out either. Church and mission grow from spiritually explosive relationship. Yay!

That's what's happening with CO2 and it will happen with MRT too.

    Here's another equation.

    For any N > 2, (Nh + H) x RoA = SE

    Let me explain...

N represents 2 or more people
    h is a human heart
    H is Father's heart
    RoA is rhythm of attention
    SE is spiritual explosion

So the hearts of two or more people and Father's heart multiplied by a rhythm of attention is equal to a spiritual explosion.

  3. I love the viral description of the Kingdom and its spread among humans. I think Chris' description of the phases of viral spread is intriguing.

Lethally infected. And infecting others with a truly lethal and contagious strain of God and God's Kingdom.
